I'm running Fedora Core 1 and have installed RPMS for Firefox (links at
bottom if it makes any diffrence). I am trying to set it as the default
broswer and have hit a few minor, but very strange problems.

1) If I go to Main Menu->Prefrences->Prefered Applications->Web Broswer,
  click custom and type 'firefox %s', the change is not saved when I
close and re-open the app.

2) I manually set up the association with locally stored .htm and .html
files, however if firefox is already running, it tells me that it can't
start because the profile is already in use. Yet I can open as many
instances of it as I want from the Main Menu or the Panel.

3) I also installed a Thunderbird RPM (link at bottom again).
Thunderbird will launch Firefox for links that start with http:// but
launches Konquerer for links starting with https://

None of these problems are really stopping me from enjoying Fedora or
Firefox, in fact this is the best linux setup I've used yet. But these
are some really strange quirks. Anyone have any ideas?
