Fell free to ignore this advice above, the first stage of your Windows XP
boot process is OK, no reason to fix something that's not broken. It's the
second stage that's broken.
You need to boot with the Windows XP CD (if available) and get into the
recovery console and use the fixboot command. If you don't have the
Windows XP CD then build your own, all you need are a few files and follow
the directions here; http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/
FYI: You can rename the DOS option in /etc/lilo.conf to Windows XP if you
want to, just make sure that you run as root when done with your edit;
lilo -v
One last thing your Windows boot option in /etc/lilo.conf just might be
other=/dev/hda1 instead of option=/dev/hda3
