Fedora and wireless problem

I have an IBM ThinkPad 600 running Fedora 1 quite happily. It's a little
slow but everything works except my Avaya wireless card.
It's recognizing fine and I got it onto the internet briefly yesterday but
later in the afternoon it lost contact with the AP. I know it's getting on
the network because I can see it log into the Radius server that I'm running
a tail on and when I run ifconfig it is getting an IP address on the AP
network.
I found one site that suggested booting with the card out of the computer
and then inserting the card after boot and starting it then but that didn't
work either. If I stop the card in System Settings and Network and then
restart it I can again see it log into the Radius server and it gets a new
IP address but then no internet.
Links or suggestions appreciated.
