Boot-time Serial Port Setting

I need to have ttyS0 set to 9600,n,8,1 and ttyS1 set to 4800,e,7,1 at
boot time.

I can set them up in a klugey sort of way using minicom (and I
wouldn't even mind doing that if it would just exit on its own instead
of having to have the user exit...).

setserial sounds like the way to go, but I can't find any examples for
setting the parity and "real" (as opposed to "base") baud rate, and
nothing I've tried seems to work. No doubt I'm missing something
obvious... or some other pice of software...

Of COURSE that's not my real email address - my
