Hi there - I know I'm supposed to configure LDAP further now, although it
took some googling to figure that out. Here's what happened:
In configuring sendmail to get mail for mydomain.com, I ended up using LDAP.
It works just like it's supposed to.
The "problem" is that if my user logs out, and tries to log back in, I get
"authentication failed". That's because in authconfig it is set to use
LDAP and LDAP authorization.
What I need now, I suppose, is a starting point for configuring LDAP so that
my user can log in. Could someone tell me where to start reading? And if
it's not too much trouble, could someone give me a very brief explanation
of why this is happening? I'm only surprised that this affected a user
login and don't understand why it would do that.
Why do I see information about ldap, slapd (which I don't even seem to have)
and openldap? Just which ldap is Fedora Core 2 using? That might clear up
a lot of things.
Thanks in advance for a point in the right direction,
