Open office question

While running Open Office spread*** I encounter a problem. I'm sure it's
a setting that I have to change but cannot figure what.

My problem is that whenever I put my mouse arrow unto the "file" heading my
file closes. I would like putting the arrow on "file" to allow me to load
a template.
