On my main machine:
AthlonXP 2000+
512Mb RAM
FC2 running webserver, internal mail with spamassassin, ftp server, X
server for the laptop as dumb terminal, games machine (Enemy territory
etc), and general internet use.
My Laptop: Dell Latitude cpia 366XT
PII 366 128Mb RAM
Whitebox EL 3 used as a print server, NFS server to store and stream
movies, dumb terminal via XDMCP, and RHCE Study Tool.
Both are fine, stable machines. In a nutshell, if you have older machines,
use Whitebox. FC2 has been running well on my main machine and I
thoroughly recommend it if your hardware is fairly up to date. ie. 2 or 3
years old. No major problems to report with either. The only time I've had
a hitch is when my own knowledge shortfall has let me down ;)
