I don't think this approach is supported. But I do know one that is. Try
entering your WEP key directly into the appropriate configuration file,
rather than as an argument.

On FC2 , there are two configuration files per wireless interface, located
in /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices:

ifconfig-(name)

and

keys-(name)

The file keys-(name) contains the WEP key, in hex, without an "0x" prefix.
Check for these files and create the ones you don't have.
