NES Parallel Controller Adaper?

Hey everybody. I'm trying to get my NES Parallel Port controller to work on
my Fedora FC2 Box running kernel 2.6.8.1. I'm positive the hardware works,
since I can use it on my windows machine. I've recompiled the kernel,
making sure that joystick support (including the parallel port adapter) was
enabled. I've modprob'ed (what I think is) correctly.
        modprobe joydev
        modprobe analog js=0,2,0,0,0,0
That all goes rather well. However, when I try to jstest or jscal my
/dev/js0 device, i get "jscal: cant't open joystick device: No such device"
I'm stumped. The docs on this seem kinda vauge/confusing since they seem to
refer to a different module than what was made when I complied the kernel.
Any clues/tips/hints? Thanks!
