Seems to me that when you want to install a program with Linux that
it is always missing a critical lib file. Does anyone have a complete
RPM for a basic install of MySQL?
I have spent an entire day working on installing MySQL. Run the
rpm -ivh <filename> and it says that it is missing the dependencies of
Perl 5 .... so Igo and get the Perl 5, install it and then re-run the
MySQL package ... it still says that it needs the Perl 5 module and it
is looking in /usr/bin/perl5
Well... I can go to /usr/bin/perl5 and see all the perl5 files.
Specs ..
Pentium 1 GHz
256 Ram
40 G HD
RH 8.0
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Would be nice to find
an RPM that has all the files that it needs in one package.
Thank you
Sincerely,
Kell
