I've not experienced the slowness, but this is BETA software with constant
udev/kernel upgrades. Unless you a testing, I suspect you should wait
until the true release comes out.
Some of the kernels couldn't boot right with the rhgb switch (I think this
has since been fixed), and there were some problems with one of the X.org
build as well.
