I've attempted installs on three computers, two successfully.
Due to hardware differences I can't make judgments about the
speed of installation. 2.92 may not be as fast as some distros,
but it is much faster than some Unix flavors.
The one unsuccessful install was to a 120 gb drive that had Win XP
in one partition. I could never get anything to boot from that
drive, not Windoes and not 2.92. I was able to copy data from a
FAT partition using PCLinuxOS live CD, the only live CD I had which
supported my motherboard's 1 gb Ethernet. Since I was able to read
data from the drive, I don't think it's the geometry problem again.
