I'm trying to update my installation of Fedora Core 1. I'm using the
up2date utility, and it's finding a long list of updates, but when I select
a list to update it will download for a few minutes and then hang in the
middle of one. Not one in particular, just wherever it happens to be at the
time, or so it seems.
I have changed from the default d/l servers to mirrors that I tested and
know work well. I've tried selecting all available updates, and I've tried
choosing updates 4-5 at a time. The process hangs every time no matter
what, and the utility won't close after it hangs, I have to log off to get
it to stop. I tried skipping the first 5 or 10 altogether and updating
packages from lower on the list, but that hangs too.
What should I be doing differently to get this update process to work
properly?
