Thanks for the reply - I've installed Open Office on 8 machines and let
users test it for their daily tasks. Most of them only edit existing
word documents or edit old accounting spread-sheets that have already
been created. The import process leaves a little to be desired, some
formatting of Word 2000, XP, 2003 documents is not the same once it
imports it, which was not the case with MS Office. There are some small
formatting issues with Excel files....

I was looking at CrossOver as a means to allow them to run at least
Office XP - they already have Volume licenses for Office and it works
well for everything they do.

The kicker for me, and most of the client groups, is the use of Outlook
with the Exchange servers - almost every one of them needs the Calendar,
delegated calendar, tasks, delegated tasks, and some need to share their
inbox with other users. I tried CrossOver with Outlook 2000 and Outlook
XP, but it would not connect to the Exchange server via the exchange
connector - POP and IMAP connectors worked fine.

Any ideas? I would really like to have them off of Windows XP as long as
I can work out the above issues.

Thanks.
