I must admit to keeping / on one partition and /home on a separate
partition. That way I can just trash the / part and re-load or
clean upgrade knowing that I don't have to worry about all my data on
/home. Also if / goes for whatever reason (like messing about a bit too
much beyond my knowledge) then again, no major headache trying to move
data to a safe area before a clean reload.
