A third question re: connecting to the net with KPPP

    Okay. I have KPPP configured properly. I can "see" the modem, dial out
    with it, hook to the remote host--and the daemon dies. The error log says
    that the message from the remote host is that it can't authenticate me. Is
    there anything client-side that could cause this or do I need to talk to my
    ISP?

    Thanks for everyone's help. I am amazed that I was able to get this far.
