    It does work as a CD-ROM. I have installed Ogle and the associated RPMs
      that it sats it needs to run. I added the command line "options
    ide-cd dma=1" to the /etc/modules.conf file. I have stopped there
    because I was shooting in the dark and thought I needed more help.
