Ok, here's the story:
I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop, and I would like to migrate to
linux, but I cannot do so due to compatibility issues. I've been playing
around with Gentoo 1.4 and kernel 2.6 on it for a while and it seems to
work quite well, except my S-Video out seems to not be supported at all.
I have an intel 82845G chipset, and I can find no information anywhere
about somebody getting it to work. This could of course mean that it is
not supported yet and I'm just plain out of luck.
What i'm asking is if anybody here knows of a way to get this to work,
either via a workaround, such as being able to use windows binaries, or
is there a native way of getting this to function?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Chris Babstock
