]It does read the DVD but it will not play them (movies). I associated
]the type file on the DVD to Ogle. I installed LIBDVDCSS, LIBMAD,
]LIBDVDREAD, OGLE and Ogle_GUI, all from RPMs. LIBXML2 is already there.
] So, it does work as a DVD drive to read data (I am assuming it will
]execute data since I don't have a regular data DVD). I put in a DVD
]movie, Ogle starts and nothing happens from there. No menu, can't open
]DVD, won't play, nothing. Ogle just sits there. As I said, I added the
]command line "options ide-cd dma=1" to the /etc/modules.conf file. That
]is what I have done and what it does. Like I said, the drive does "see"
]the files, but does not execute them.
ogle looks for /dev/dvd. What does /dev/dvd point to (if it exists)
do
dmesg|less
and look for the line talking about you drive. Does it recognize it as a
dvd?
