Newby: need a little help with documentation

Ive been using mandrake10_amd64 and was having a lot of problems so i
thought id try fedora core3_64 and im kinda lost eg:
Is there a mirror that i can add to a rpm installer that would list and
install all of the rpms i wish out there and how do i do that;as
examples...
I wanted to install pan newsreader but i dont see it on my installation
list.
I wanted to put a console on my task bar for easy access but have to place
the whole section "application launcher with all its program listings" up
there.
I like to read and get to know all about using fedora core but cannot find
any manuals.
Are red hat and Fedora manuals the same thing?
By the way, i had no problems yet with Fedora core 3 that wasnt a quick fix.
any help and direction will be appriaciated Thanx
