I installed the evaluation version of Win 2003 on my notebook on a seperate
partition from Win 2000. When the install was complete, the bootloader
listed both OS's but Win 2000 would not boot. It said "ntoskrnl.exe" was
missing or corrupt. I tried replacing the file with the copy on the CD, that
didn't work. So I reinstalled Win 2000 over the old installation and now Win
2000 works, but now Win 2003 won't boot. It says "systemd" is missing or
corrupt when I choose Win 2003 from the boot menu. (I'm having this exact
same problem on my desktop with Win XP and Win 2000 on a SATA raid array.)
Rather than get myself caught in an endless loop of reinstalling windows, is
it possible to install both on the same drive and use a third party
bootloader? I also have Fedora Cora 3 on this machine and GRUB works fine to
load Win 2000 and Linux.
