    What he was refering to is that you posted to alt.os.linux.redhat
    from a machine that was currently running MS Windows.

    Early USENET postings had a certain number of required headers and
    you could use additional headers. Eventually NNTP was proposed and
    the required headers list was modified. In time, a good number of
    people were using the same additional headers, one of these being
    the User-Agent, or the program with which you are posting the
    article. A collection of the most used headers were proposed in the
    INN standard, but that's really just a bunch of additions to NNTP.

    Sorry for the digression....at any rate, what Ed meant was that he
    peeked at the headers and saw that you were posting from a MS
    Windows machine.
