I'm currently using a GeForce 2Ti with Fedora 3. When I play Tuxracer,
for example, its pretty jerky. Same with Flurry screensaver. Looking
to improve the performance. Rest of system is Asus A7N8X / Athlon
3200XP (o/c'ed 2800) / 512mb DDR2100.
I can easily get a stick of 512mb DDR3200 from another box, but it looks
like I need a lot more than that.
Which video card for less than about $110 (street/newegg) would be a
good upgrade to smooth out the display? I have no religion or personal
preference for eiher nVidia or ATI, but am looking for the best bang for
the buck.
Though not a showstopper requirement, I'd like to have one that runs
pretty quiet.
TIA
