I am seeking the help and advise from the Linux Group of which I have been
told is the best of the Linux World. Of course the person who told me this
might be a bit biased how ever I have already seen the OTHER side ( Suse )
and didn't find much in the way of what one call an intelligent response.
I am new to the world of Linux, I am an old MPM/DOS user until forced into
the Wonderful World Of MS Windows. That being said, I am trying to figure
out which of the Linux packages out there to use and am relying on the good
people of the open source Linux community to provide me with some advice on
the matter. I have already tried Suse 9.1 and it seems to be alright other
than the fact that there are a few things that it say's are installed and
working are in fact NOT working. Before someone suggest that I read the
manual/documentation etc. Please already been there & done that to no
avail. Like I said, It state's that it is installed and working when it is
not.
It has been suggested that I should take a look at Red Hat Fedora and that
it is supposed to be a better OS than Suse. I am open to any and all
suggestions and views etc. that any of you may be so kind as to offer.
Thank You in advance :
RayD
