fedora core 3 freeze

    hi,
        i'm installing fedora core 3 64bit onto my second hard drive to dual
    boot with winxp but when i select to load fedora the system locks up at
    different points. sometimes it's when initialising the network devices
    or other times just after login before i actually reach the desktop. any
    assistance with this prob would be greatly appreciated.
