I recently downloaded the latest Firefox RPM, which is geared for Fedora
Core 3. However, a website informed me that if I just upgraded the
dependencies (which for me turned out to only be desktop-file-utils), it
would work just fine on Fedora Core 2. I upgraded desktop-file-utils and
upgraded Firefox with no complaints from the system. When I run
"firefox", nothing happens. Nothing at all. No error messages, no dialogs,
no Firefox. It just sits there for a few seconds and then returns me to
the command prompt. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help that can be
provided.
