Thanks guys, got it installed, i think so anyway, haven't tested the 3d
stuff but I installed it, edited the x config file and now it allows me
set a decent resoultion and refresh rate.

Got another weird problem tho, managed to set up my wireless network
card using ndis wrapper (cos there is no native linux driver for my
linksys wmp11) but I can only access certain websites, slashdot and fark
both work fine but frustratingly i can't access google, just times out.

I think its a firewall issue (knew I shouldn't have installed it, my
wifi access point has a decent one anyway) but I can't find a graphical
tool for the firewall (there is supposed to be one somewhere...).
looked at iptables, came away confused. Anyone got any advice ?

any help appreciated.
