7 minute delay in bootup

Hello All,

I have recently developed a strange problem.
When my FC3 machine boots the system hangs for exactly seven minutes.

During bootup I see the screen change from a graphical boot to a text screen
and back.
It does this several times, then on the last "text" screen tha machine hangs
after displaying this line:

Enabling Swap Space

I don't see anything unusual in /var/log/messages

Has anyone else seen this?
Is there a fix?
Any ideas of what to look for?
