Mixer refuses to work

    Hi, I am running FC2 and recently tried to get my sound fixed.
    Although all requiered modules have been loaded (and yes in
    proper order :P) I am still unable to access the mixer. The
    mixer still isn't loaded it indicated. I wonder if anybody has
    encountered this problem before. I am using the 2.6.10 (basic)
    kernel provided by fedora and I know that with some kernels the
    sound modules give troubles but those are clearly indicated by
    refusal to load so the kernel isn't realy the problem either
    I guess....
