Suspend on FC3

Hi all!

I'm using Fedora Core 3.
The command 'echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep' seems to work on my laptop - it
suspends the laptop.

The problem is that when restarting I have only a black screen.

Any ideas related with this problem?
