Re: installing fedora core 4 from srpms

I thought that by installing the source rpms I could squeeze a little extra
performance from my machine, is this not the case? If it is the case, then
I would like to go down that path, otherwise I might try out gentoo as I
have heard it can be installed by compiling everything from scratch.
