Christian,
Is this a new install and you have never been able to boot? Or did
everything boot normal and the boot process begin to fail recently?
If this is a new install and you are having problems, then you may have
a problem with not enough of a swap space or RAM to
load the bootup image. If, on the other hand, this just started, you may
need to reinstall your kernel. If you have a way to telnet into the
affected workstation, try that and see if you can access important data.
