I am a newbie to Linux.
I am running a fresh installed FC5 on VMware player. The firefox
version is 1.5.0.1 after installation. I use the Software Updater to
update Firefox. The new version is 1.5.0.4. I did update some other
packages such as Eclipse and mono (I add a repo file in
/etc/yum.repos.d/ folder as mono web site instructs).
After successful update, the Firefox cannot be started. I press the
"Web browser browse the web" shortcut (the blue earth icon with a
mouse) on the panel, then a task "Starting Web Browser" appears. After
a while it just disappears and nothing happens.
I am not sure what goes wrong. Is it because of some package
confilcts? Or some links goes out of sync?
Thanks!
Mine works, so apparently it isn't a general problem with FC5. What
happens when you type "firefox" at a command prompt? Do any error
messages appear?
