FC6 installation woes

After Novell made its deal with Microsoft, I decided to convert my
servers to another OS (from the current SuSE) as the opportunity
presented. My first choice was Fedora; I dutifully downloaded the ISOs
and burned them.

Today, when trying to install FC6, I could *not* get the fscking
graphical installer to come up in 1024x768 - despite trying the various
remedies suggested (resolution=1024x768, etc). All I could ever see was
the top/left corner of the graphics; no buttons of any kind were
visible. I know it wasn't a monitor issue, because the same monitor has
been used for other installations, including FC5, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE,
and even Gentoo.

After a half-dozen tries, I finally gave up on it. Yes, I could have
done a text install, but that isn't the point - which is that the
problem shouldn't have occurred in the first place. Redhat/Fedora could
have had at least one convert because of Novells screw-up - but have
lost me because of either inattention to detail, or they made
unwarranted assumptions about an end-users hardware (an HP LPr blade
server, BTW).

I would have brought the problem to the attention on the Redhat/Fedora
site, but there wasn't any readily visible "tell us how we're doing"
option...

I'm not mad (it's free, anyway, right?), I'm not 'bitching' (for the
same reasons) - just hoping that the problem gets the attention of
somebody from the Redhat/Fedora crew.
