No it does not, the Microsoft bootloader has not changed in many years, he
only change Microsoft has made recently is a additional "check" step.
Besides you asked how to install the Linux boot choice under this Windows
bootloader, which is covered in the link I provided if you take the time to
read it and engage your brain. Here let me save you some time and quote
from the link;

Boot into Linux and copy the boot image from the first sector of your boot
partition. You'll want to take 512 bytes of this partition once, and write
it out to a file called bootsect.lnx. The entry should look like:

dd if=/dev/hdX of=/bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1

Move that file onto your c:\ drive and edit boot.ini, adding the following
line:

c:\bootsect.lnx="Linux"

So boot into Linux using the Installation media into rescue mode (type linux
rescue), answer a few questions and read the on screen instructions. Pay
extra attention to the choot screen. Install Grub to the first Linux
partition by typing something like;

/sbin/grub-install --recheck /dev/hda

Then follow the directions quoted above, it is up to you to copy the file to
a floopy disc or usbstick or whatever. Hint: the rescue booting and
grub-install command can be used since as you stated in another newgroup
you swap the hard drives around.

The real challenge is how to get your brain working (thinking) again after
the Microsoft brain-drain damage.
