Hi all,
I am trying to install a Belkin F5d7010 pcmcia card into an HP laptop. I
have installed ndiswrapper but the card is not recognized and does not
seem to be powered up. Is there a separate service that needs to be
installed to recognize a pcmcia card and if so where is it located.
I would really appreciate some help on this issue.
Which version of Red Hat are you running??
How did you install ndiswrapper?? What steps did you take???
Details please.
sourceforge and compiled per the included instructions. When I enter
"ndiswrapper" at a command line I get the usage screen, so I assume it is
correctly installed. The pcmcia card is a Belkin, which uses a Ralink
chipset. I have tried both the blkwgn.inf driver and the Windows Rt2500.inf
(from the supplied cd) and neither work.
I am not sure if I have pcmcia driver(s) installed. I get no response when
inserting the card, but do get an entry in the log file when the card is
inserted or removed. By the way, I am running 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 kernel.
