What is your opinion on the sizes? I am not famialar with LVM. DoneI have tried many versions of partition tables as have been shown were "the
some readings on it in the past (maybe when I have time to play with
it). I have to get it up asap.
Is my /boot and /home too big ?
/boot = 2 gigs
/usr = 80
/usr/local = 20
/home = 20
/opt = 15
/var = 80
/tmp= 10
/ = 5
swap = 2
This would be for the web server mainly. Runnin raid 1.

best" but what I finally did was to make one large partition as / and a swap
partition. All the extra partitions are then simply subdirectories and can have
whatever size they take. As long as my / partition is big enough, then none of
the "partitions" are too big or too small.
For backing up I just copy the subdirectory I want to save to another hard drive
and mostly that just works fine for me.
My web server is just a simple home type thing for my own interest.
