Tony,
What do you want to do with it?
Is it a IDE, SCSI or SATA disk?
Kind regards,

Jan,
It is a sata. I want to add this new hard drive and to store more junk
(lets called "Backup").
What do I need to do. Its recognized by the bios, etc. Just want need
help on the linux part.
Thanks,
Tony
Partition it with parted. After you have partitioned it you need to add
entries for the new partitions in /etc/fstab, (the format of an /etc/
fstab entry is obvious, just open the file up in Xemacs and you'll see
what I mean). You will also need a mount point for each of the new
partitions, just do a mkdir for each mount point.
