I am a newbie to Linux and I need info on the Xmodmap or .xmodmap file
placement to make mouse and keyboard settings global (i.e for su and for

where it should go? In the file I have
pointer 3 2 1
and then a bunch of reassignments to the alt ctl windows and menu keys.
Thanx,

I'd go with :
/etc/X11/Xmodmap
That's what I use on my F8 system.
