I am having a problem getting the httpd and vsftpd servers to work. I

However I can not connect to them from another computer. I have set the
configuration for the httpd as the same as the httpd configuration on a
Fedora 7 server which is working fine. However I can not get the
servers in Fedora 8 to work correctly. I ran ethereal on the 2nd
computer I was using to connect. The error message for both Web and FTP
was "Destination unreachable (Host administratively prohibited)". Yet
the Fedora server is there and returns pings. Does anyone have any idea
as to why the services menu would say that the servers are running, but
you can not connect to them? Thank you,

Sounds like a firewall problem, turn off the firewall and SELinux and see if that fixes your problem.
Thanks,
Actually bot of them were causing a problem. After I corrected the firewall program, ftp would still not work. However the SELinux monitoring program told me the command to correct the problem.
Again, Thanks
