Customizing Kickstart scripts
Hello All,
I am currently using kickstart over the network do do custom server installs
with all the third party support software the systems will need
preinstalled. I would like to move the whole install set over to DVD so I
can ship them to locations and have the KS dvd do the install with little
user intervention.
The problem is I need to set some varibles in order for all of the installs
to work properly and the information will be different at each location. Is
there a way I can put questions into kiskstart that prompt for response so I
do not have to have a KS file for every system build? If so where would the
question show up (this is using the graphical install) would it pop up an
Xwindow and wait for response or would the user need to go to a different
Virtual Console?
Thanks for any information
.
