I do not know the exact answer to your question, but
I got a second best to this one :
Move the mouse to point either the beginning or the end of the URL:
left-click and sweep over the link whilst the click is on and
as the entire URL is been swept over snap your finger off :
As a result a small pop-up windows invites you to select a browser:
Konqueror
Mozilla
Netscape
and even link to Kmail.
