SuSE 8.2 problem with FastTrakTX2000, any solution?

Hello all,

I encountered problems with Promise FastTrakTX2000 (2 *60GB Maxtors,
configured as RAID0 stripe set ) under SuSE 8.2? the system would ?stall?
every once a while ... the mouse cursor movements would become jerky, file
copy/transfer operation would stall and HDD lights lit up... this would
last like 20 seconds, and then again everything would be normal.

I couldn't stand this behavior finally, and so I wiped that installation , I
couldn't find any info on this anywhere, maybe someone around has seen
this to happen before?

I'll reinstall SuSE 8.2 on my other system eventually ( on PC which without
RAID, controller, but I really regret this because my main PC was
otherwise working fine).
