Perhaps you didn't run SuSEconfig after copying the fonts into the truetype
directory..yes? It has to rebuild certain files when new fonts are added.
I've got over 250M of TTF's and everything works great. In fact I would say
KDE 3.1.2 on my machine looks quite a bit better then on the XP workstation
my officemate uses (the only windows box I have access too in order to
compare).
