Dear all,

we are running SLES 8 and authentication via .rhosts doesn't work for me when
.rhosts contains +@netgroup: The access is denied.
As soon as .rhosts uses hostname username rsh works without password.

And here is the /var/log/messages entry:

csc-4 pam_rhosts_auth[15572]: denied to cgsadmin@csc-4.local as cgsadmin:
                              access not allowed
Jul 30 07:13:38 csc-4 in.rshd[15572]: rsh denied to cgsadmin@csc-4.local
                      as cgsadmin: Permission denied.
Jul 30 07:13:38 csc-4 in.rshd[15572]: rsh command was 'ls -al'

Any help is appreciated or doesn't .rhosts allow NIS netgroup entry?

TIA,
