How to spinddown HD on startup^

Hi,

where must I set which parameters so that my HDs will spindown/standbymode
after 2h?

I fond the hdparm program but not where to configure it so that the new
params are used during startup.

In addition I have also HDs connceted by PromiseATA100controller. This HDs
are providing an Softraidvolume.
Can I spindown this drives without getting problems with the Softraidvolume?

I have SuSE8.1 installed but can also upgrade to SuSE8.2 if necessary.
