For $DEITY's sake!!! This is UTTER CRAP !!!
The GPL does NOT RESTRICT anybody !!! Firstly, the GPL is a grant of
rights that would normally be denied under copyright law. This is its
strength - if you do not accept it, then all the things it permits are
illegal, hence there's no question of "click through" or "shrinkwrap"
or any of those questionable things that plague the standard EULA.
Secondly, if I'm the copyright holder, I JUST IGNORE the GPL. It is
IRRELEVANT! The GPL is the way I *GIVE* *RIGHTS* to *OTHER* *PEOPLE*.
It has no force or legal authority against me WHATSOEVER. I can do
WHAT THE HELL I LIKE !!!
Please learn how copyright law works !!!
Cheers,
Wol
