I'm a Linux newbie and running Suse Linux 8.2 on a Gateway Solo 5300 laptop
with a Windows 2K dual boot. Everything works fine except for the Compaq
HNW-100 WLAN card. I did some research and found that the orinocco_o kernel
module has to be selected. Using YaST i selected that particular kernel
module. When it writes the settings, right after clicking finish, the light
on card keeps blinking and right before it says "Writing to Suseconfig", the
link light is steady for a few seconds and imemdiately turns
off...indicating no link available. I've tried to input the settings for my
network which has a 64-bit WEP key...and iwconfig says that the card is
attached to the network...but it still dosent work!
Can someone please help? Thanks in advance...:)
