SMTP servers usually relay ...
a) if they are responsible for the domain in the to-address
but they will reject DUL addresses for Spam protection. This however is
usually the case for home users, who connect their SOHO server vie T-DSL, so
there remains ...
b) if you have an account on their site, which means, they are responsible
for the domain in the from address.
I suppose Bernd has multiple addresses at multiple email providers and wants
to use their server as a smart host.
