Hello,

I am totally new to Linux in general and am planning to install SuSE 8.2 on
my machine which already has windows 2000 on it. I have an extra hard disk
of 80 GB which is new, unformatted and plan to make 40 GB available for
linux and the rest for data on windows.

My queries

1. What precautions or points should i note before installing SuSE 8.2 on a
machine which already has windows 2000?
2. Is it possible to partition the 80 GB harddisk into two and use one
partition for windows and the other for linux? How should I partition/format
the drive for optimum usage?
3. The most important question - I need it such that I can transfer data
between windows and linus effortlessly. I have seen that i can map the
windows drives through linux, but is there a way that i can see the linux
drives on my windows desktop or windows explorer?

Thanks for the help

best wishes

Ankit
